Yesterday, Wednesday, September 27, in the evocative cloister of the former Church of Santa Maria Maddalena in Perugia—now home to the Umbria Carabinieri Legion Command—the presentation of the book “Valter Baldaccini: an enlightened entrepreneur at the service of the common good” took place. The volume is curated by the Valter Baldaccini Foundation and published by FrancoAngeli.
The presentation was strongly supported by Brigadier General Gerardo Iorio as part of the initiatives dedicated to the training of the management and leadership teams of the Carabinieri Legion, through conferences addressing various topics—including Leadership.
It was a truly moving evening, a journey through the words of Valter Baldaccini, read for the occasion by two exceptional professional actors, Eugenio Mastrandrea and Francesco Castiglioni, who immersed the audience in the speeches and writings of the Founder of UMBRAGROUP. Through his words, Baldaccini recounted growth, challenges, and the evolution of a company—but, above all, the life of a man who always placed non‑negotiable Values at the center, first and foremost Respect, acting according to the Christian Golden Rule: love your neighbor.
In attendance at the event, alongside the management and officers of the Carabinieri Legion, were representatives of local institutions and members of UMBRAGROUP’s Leadership.
Valter Baldaccini has inspired—and continues to inspire—the actions of our People around the world, as stated by Reno Ortolani, Chairman of the UMBRAGROUP Board of Directors:
“In the manifesto of Values that guide UMBRAGROUP, drawn from Valter’s teachings, what has always been present in all his speeches—and put into practice in every situation—is Respect for others. And those of us who hold visible roles have the responsibility to act with respect for people and the environment, both at work and beyond.
Having worked alongside Valter for 30 years, I have taken on the responsibility of being the guardian within UMBRAGROUP of what he passed on to us.”
