SAFETY FIRST!

Today, April 28, marks World Safety at Work Day. A central theme at UMBRAGROUP, which has always cared about the protection of its employees, not only in the workplace, but also in everyday life. In this regard, for the second consecutive year, UMBRAGROUP has promoted a contest open to the children of employees between 6 and 12 years old to raise awareness even among the youngest about the importance of prevention and attention to this fundamental issue.

The contest “Safety FIRST - Safety Comes First!” saw the participating children divided into two cathegories: Little Safety Guards and Young Safety Ambassadors. The children of UMBRAGROUP employees gave us wonderful stories of superheroes watching over workplaces and new technologies that do not exist today, but could be crucial for the safety of those who work!

Choosing the winners was a very difficult task for the jury as all entries stood out for the attention and awareness shown regarding the topic of safety.

The first prize in the “Little Guardians of Safety” category was awarded to:

• Maria Sole Minni with the entry “Super Aero Hero,” a superhero who transforms into an airplane to save those in distress.

The first prize in the “Young Safety Ambassadors” category was awarded to:

• Raffaele D'Andrea with his entry “The Brand New Robotallert Device,” a robot that scans visitors to companies and instructs them on proper personal protective equipment.

In addition, special mentions were awarded in the two categories to those who were able to turn safety into an emotion:

Special Mention in the category “Little Guardians of Safety.”

• Elena Caralla with her entry “Rico the Superhero,” a superhero who not only helps us with daily prevention but also reminds us of the importance of taking care of ourselves.

Special Mention in the category “Young Safety Ambassadors.”

• Giulia Degli Esposti with the story “A Robot called Love” which describes the robot Helpmebob, an assistant in the most complicated jobs to avoid endangering workers.
