Mario Zaccagnini appointed Chief Executive Officer of ERA Electronic Systems

UMBRAGROUP takes a further step in its growth and consolidation journey in the electronics sector, announcing the appointment of Eng. Mario Zaccagnini as Head of Business Electronics at Group level and Chief Executive Officer of ERA Electronic Systems, effective May 4, 2026.

This appointment marks a further evolution in the Group’s strategy, aimed at strengthening industrial integration, enhancing competencies, and supporting the development of increasingly innovative solutions in high-tech markets. In his dual role, Zaccagnini will lead the growth of UMBRAGROUP’s electronics business and drive the execution of ERA Electronic Systems’ operational strategy, reinforcing its competitive positioning at international level.

With over 25 years of international experience in complex industrial and technological environments, Eng. Zaccagnini brings strong and proven leadership to ERA Electronic Systems. Throughout his career, he has held executive roles in leading organizations such as Rohde & Schwarz Italy, Jenoptik Korea, and Ansaldo STS Germany, working across advanced electronics and infrastructure systems. Earlier in his career, he contributed to the development of strategic transport solutions at Alcatel. His background is further strengthened by a PhD in Electronic Engineering from Sapienza University of Rome.

Within this new organizational structure, continuity remains a key element: the founder of ERA Electronic Systems, Eng. Joseph Persampieri, will continue to actively support the company as Chairman. His presence ensures strategic consistency, continuity of vision, and the preservation of the values that have made ERA a trusted technology partner worldwide.
