This collaboration marks a significant milestone in aerospace engineering, where precision, performance, and sustainability converge.
This presentation held during the last Paris Air Show underlines the importance of collaboration, the engine of innovation at UMBRAGROUP. “We have showcased at the latest Paris Air Show our nice Racer High Speed Demonstrator. – comments Brice Makinadjian, Racer Demonstrator Chief Engineer at Airbus Helicopters – It’s a European project that we have performed with 40 partners in certain countries and one of the targets was to reach 220 kts with this demonstrator and we achieved recently 240 kts. Among all the partnerships, I would like to highlight the fruitful partnership that we had with UMBRAGROUP that allow us to receive the actuators that we use to actuate our flap mounted on the wings and on the vertical stabilizer, which is fundamental to our formula. So, thanks to UMBRAGROUP for the realization that allows us to reach this speed”.

During the development of this project, we were able to design a rotary actuator based on Ball Screws that allows us to win the Innovation Award with Airbus Helicopters in 2022".
